Lighthouse Shutters, Gutters & Access Path Repairs

During spring 2006, wooden shutters were restored on the upper Lighthouse Windows, based on some originals found in the Lighthouse basement. Copper gutters and downspouts were installed as well. The path approaching the Lighthouse was improved with a topping of torpedo sand from the park quarry. FORI funded this project with a 50% grant from the DNR at a cost of $28,913.00.
